A Waller researcher interested in Roane County is Steve Robinson. Steve is a descendant of Matilda (Waller) Monger (1826-1893).
Roane County, Tennessee is of interest to many Waller researchers. Like Spotsylvania and Stafford Counties Virginia, and various "hot spots" in England, Roane County is a major Waller site.

Tens of thousands of Waller descendants scattered throughout the mid-west and western parts of the United States have their roots in Roane County.

John Dickey, one of our greatest Waller genealogists, did a tremendous amount of work in and around Roane County. His line went to Texas along with the Rayburns that were to produce the famous "Speaker of the House".

At least two or three of Colonel George Waller's (Henry Co, VA) sons migrated to Roane County. "The extent and importance of the land holdings of the Waller families in early Roane County is far greater than reported in published accounts"

Waller Cemetery, From the intersection of I40 and Buttermilk Road. (9 mi. east of Kingston), do not cross over I40 here, but go east on Buttermilk Rd. 0.6 mi. then cross I40. Just after crossing I40, Buttermilk Road turns right. From here go 1.1 mi. east to a road that turns north (left). Within 0.1 mi this road forks; take the left fork, then in 0.3 mi. the road forks again. Here take the right fork and go 0.4 mi. to the cemetery on the left of the road.
