    I am a descendent of William Whiteman Waller of Woodbridge, Suffolk, England who came to Barton Township, Upper Canada c.1832. He arrived with a wife, Susan or Susannah Simkins (born Waltham St. Lawrence, Berkshire, November 1799) and at least 3 children, Mary Ann, William Thomas and George Waller, who were all born in London, England.
    William W. Waller, the son of William Waller and Mary Whiteman was christened 26 May 1800, St. Mary's Anglican church Woodbridge. His parents were married in the church 3 June 1798 where his father was described as a Sawyer in the marriage register. His mother was born 12 June 1779 in the Parish of Debenham, Suffolk where her parents, William and Mary were members of The Debenham Independence Church.
William W. Waller appears to have had three sisters (Harriet, Mary and Lucy) who remained in Woodbridge - Ipswich area according to their marriage records and the christening records of their children.
    I believe that William Waller was the son of Jeremiah Waller and Elizabeth Huggins or Hugging born c. 1774 and christened in St. Mary's Woodbridge 9 October 1774. He appears to have been the first son, since they were married a year earlier, 24 November 1773 in the same church.
    Elizabeth Huggins/Hugging appears to have been vborn in the Woodbridge area, but Jeremiah was born in Pettistree, Suffolk. Anyone who is researching the Waller name in Suffolk, England, please search your records to see if you have ancestors whose family came from this area.
